Tearing up the Water
John tore up the Chesapeake Bay this past weekend. The wind
actually worked out perfectly. I went out first, while the wind
was a touch light and I had a darn good time in the light, steady
breeze. Around 11 a.m., I could feel it pick up and by 12 it was
nuking. I let John ride and he loved it.
Around 1 p.m., it eased up again and back on the water I went.
We did miss an opportunity for a wonderful down winder. Next tme! |

Early Morning Sunshine
There is something magical about the hazy early morning light
cascading across a beach. It gives the scene an almost ethereal
look. Life concerns or stresses seem miles away. On such mornings
life seems so bewitching, I almost believe I could fly if I
tried. |

Under the Boardwalk
Seeing these photos of Patty and John under the pier make me
want to sing the Drifter's song "Under the Boardwalk".
Under the boardwalk out of the sun |
 |
Under the boardwalk we'll be having
some fun.
Under the boardwalk, people walking above.
I will never get this song out of my head today. |

Latitude Kite
John testing out our new 11-meter Latitude kite. |
 |
Our first kite with a one pump system.
Yes!!! As I am the kiter pumper of the two, I do think it burns
calories, this is quite convenient for me.
|
 |
I am happy to report it is a steady
kite. John tried his best to get it to invert, flutter or act
fluky and it failed. Hoorah! My kind of kite. |

Red, Red Wine
I think someone knows me. A present of red wine for MOI. I say
lucky me. After a week of working hard, exercising and doing the
right things, I like to kick back on a weekend night with friends
sipping this yummy red beverage. Now if I can only learn to keep
my "stories" to a minimum. I have been told I go into
story telling mode after a few drinks and my arm gestures become a
bit dramatic. There has been a morning or two where I wished I
kept certain stories to myself. |

Time to Chill
You know what one of the best parts of going to the beach is?
Chilling with friends. Relaxing, eating, chatting, drinking a
tall, cool one. Ahhh! I like days when the toughest decision I
have to make is whether to eat 2 soft shell crabs or 3. |

Testing out the Latitude Kite
The wind was a touch light today, but John wanted to test out
our new Latitude Kite. It is made in the same factory as the North
kites and we had high hopes. It seemed to live up to our
expectations. John tried to make it over sheet or act wacky
without success. Good news! Very good news. |
