What a week. Fun, fun, fun.

We had heard rave reviews for Pescados with its Caribbean inspired seafood. With a new location opening up in Oregon Hill, we ventured over to see for ourselves. I tried the tuna dinner and loved it.

reid Friday = family night.

Saturday, we did the usual yard sale loop. For the record, I would never buy a piece of workout equipment new. The volume we see is amazing and this week was no exception. Rolling up to one, I laughed to see an overweight guy "testing" out a treadmill. My first thought was this guy will never use it, he looks like a couch potato, beer swigging, hot dog eating kind of guy. Getting closer I saw his t-shirt said "Got Beer?". I rest my case.

Posted July 13th. Bald Head Island, NC

Monday July 5th we visited Bald Head Island. An island without cars that one can only reach via water. Or air if you happen to have a helicopter handy. Waiting for our ferry, I spotted a good big sister. Clutching her stuffed animal,  a fluffy teddy bear, this 3-year old sporting pink polka dot shorts and matching pink crocs ran after her toddler brother with ponytail swishing behind her. Reaching him, she thrusts out her hand containing one pretzel. Taking it from his sister’s, he observes it and tosses it to the ground. She tried to share. The ol' you can lead a horse to water bit. Leaning over she picks it up and plops it in her mouth. I tried to push out of my mind how many feet have touched that spot on the cement floor.

The ride over was surprisingly beautiful.I underestimated how nice it would be.

john John decided to take a load off and ended up with some surprising company.

The island was about 3.3 miles wide. I covered up and I believe we hit the highlights in less than 2-hours.

Most use golf carts for transportation which led me to believe I had less to fear on the road. In my short time here, I watched one golf cart aggressively pass another. I could hear a woman berate her husband for his driving in a second. Thirdly, someone thought it a grand idea to allow their 13-year old daughter to drive alone with a 13-year old companion. Things like stop signs weren't in her list of things to notice and she loudly screeched to stop to avoid another cart after running one.

John has never shied away from a camera and always works hard to give me good material.

john Plus, he can leap tall buildings with a single bound and pick up large boats with the greatest of ease.

fireworks He can also sit back and enjoy the splendor of a good show.
