12/30/2008 -- Kite Beach, Maui

The wind was kicking yesterday and we tore up Kite Beach. It was a bit East, so I had to work to get the launch, but once out there it was a darn good time. There was minimal wind before we left the island for Christmas, so we had a few weeks off from the sport. Today, I wondered why my shoulders were sore when I realized I truly had gotten out of kiting shape.

We were offisland for Christmas and boy does Maui know how to say welcome back. As we left the airport parking lot, we were greeted with a giant rainbow.

It was date night and time to go to get some of our favorite pizza on this planet.

The Tiki Lounge off Kihei Road in Kihei Kalama Village near Cove Park has the worlds most delicious pie.

Of course, I needed a Mai Tai to accompany my little piece of heaven.
