| 3/28 -- It looked to be a promising and
windy day on Kitebeach. I had visions of testing out my
recently purchased 5-meter kite. Imagine our surprise
when we walked on the beautiful, calm, sandy beach in
front of a lake-like body of water. As we sat down on
the sand and gazed across the beautiful, serene,
blue-green water, we figured it would pick up...
eventually. I headed out on the 7 meter. Well there is
something to be said for being right. Pick-up it did. I
like to kite on the water and practice random jumps off
the waves. I don't like flying over the water with
random touchdowns. I returned to shore to test the 5.
Which in hindsight is pretty funny. Where did my love
of flying go anyway? When I was a child, I loved the
idea of sailing through the air. I remember tying a
thick towel around my neck and jumping off a tall,
diving board. Surprise! My attempt at flying failed. As
I, plus the towel secured around my neck, plunged into
the water, I was, one a little surprised I didn't fly.
Two amazed how heavy a wet towel can be. Paddling
frantically to stay afloat, I wondered why I didn't
contemplate that part of my plan. I guess age is good
for something. |

| John took out his favorite
kite, the 9-meter. He is pumping it up in the photo. I
decided to practice a lesson from thePioneerwoman
on using the hard light feature in Adobe Photoshop.
Above is the original image. |
 |
| I applied the hard light
filter with 70 percent Opacity. |
 |
| Here it is at 100
percent. I think I need to master the
"correct" images in which to test this little
feature. |
