kiteboard_10661.jpg (182333 bytes) 5/31 -- What a fun weekend. Saturday we tore-up the East Coast. A beautiful, smooth southwest wind hit the area. In our new 10-year-old, fuel efficient, Mazda Protégé we jumped.

We found a nice grassy section in which to launch our kite.

As we gazed out over the beautiful water, I pondered the pilings out front and wondered if they would be a hindrance. I need not fear. The pilings became a fun obstacle course. I believe John jumped higher than the top of one. 
carmine_island_10680.jpg (537188 bytes) A windsurfer even led us to another launch spot. It is Carmine Island. We decided to drive there to check it out. There was the cute little bridge leading to it.
