Maui, Hawaii Road To Hana

On our second trip to Hana, we did something we drove past the first time; we stopped to see the Twin Falls. A fruit stand in the front makes the falls easy to spot from Hana Highway.

We followed the road until we see a trail.

The trail leads into a wooded section.

We could have hiked our way down until we stood in front of the falls but there are a lot of sights to see on the Road to Hana and we opted to get back in the car.

We stopped off at Puaa Kaa Falls which is a park complete with picnic tables. At this point, most people have been traveling for a few hours. It is an ideal place to eat lunch.

Waimoku Falls at Ohe'O Gulch. It is one of my favorite hikes. While there are slippery spots, one can along a wooded, shaded trail complete with waterfalls, streams, pools, bridges and lots of happy people. For more photos of the Gulch click here
