Kite Beach actually consists of three different launch spots in Kanaha Park on the Northern side of Maui. The spots are; Nash Beach (sometimes Canoe Beach), Pro Beach and Beginner Beach. Kanaha Park is basically behind the airport. I can't count the number and variety of planes I have seen landing from the water there. It is also close to the harbor so one can witness the coming and going of the Super Ferry. That boat is fast. I sure hope the whales get out of the way in time. 

 

Kitebeach Nash Beach

If you launch your kites here, you need to make sure to stay west of the tents when launching. There is a sign that is posted as a reminder and it has been a recent addition to this spot. I have noticed since this happened more people launch very west. There is actually a little road with a very small circular parking spot on this end.  The third photo on the right is what this entire section looks like.
