In
February, we spent the
night in Hana, instead of turning it into a day trip, as
in previous years.. I have some
words of advise from this experience. Always ask before
booking the great deal you found, if it is quiet there.
Questions such as do your neighbors own roosters, dogs,
puppies? Do they consider them pig hunting (working)
dogs and keep them outside all night.? I can honestly
say, I have never heard such a ruckus the entire night.
The next morning, all the animals were quiet which makes
sense. They were exhausted. The odd thing, I was so
pooped from hiking all day, I fell asleep within 2 hours
which is great since I am used to a loud A/C unit. Every
blue moon, I would be aware of a cock o'doodle doo or
puppy whine and then back to dreamland. |

One the way up to Hana, we stopped and walked around
a bit. There are some amazing beautiful spots on Maui.
Wai'ananpanapa State Park is one of them.
After parking, I ate a
sandwich while overlooking the park's black sand beach. There were a fair number
of people on this beautiful beach. |

Some sections are a little
rocky. |

We then walked into a
tunnel right off the beach. Super cute! |
