This trail goes roughly from 1000 feet above sea level to 2,563. We started off under a bright sky, but the hike took us through a cloud where we experienced showers and wet, muddy sections on the trail. The views are spectacular from gorges, gulches, the Ocean and central Maui.

We did have trouble locating the trail. From 340 we turned onto Maluhia Road or I should say we turned on to Maluhia Road the second time around as we missed it the first time.
